Dr. Simon Forehan

Dr. Simon Forehan is the medical director of The Melbourne Thyroid Centre. He is a graduate of Flinders University of South Australia and completed his specialist training in Adelaide and Melbourne.  He has dual training in Endocrinology and General Medicine, and was admitted as a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2004.

Dr. Forehan has developed a special interest in disorders of the thyroid which is the primary focus of his clinical practice.  He is one of few endocrinologists in Australia to perform thyroid ultrasound.  He has additional training and expertise in medical disorders in pregnancy having trained at The Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne and has a keen interest in thyroid disorders in pregnancy.

In addition to his private practice, Dr Forehan is a Visiting Medical Officer at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Royal Women’s Hospital and The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.  He also visits central Australia to provide Endocrine services at The Alice Springs Hospital.
